Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao, celebrity mother of world boxing champion Manny Pacquaio, belts out her next hitmaker in a free entertainment event billed as Palawan at the Big Dome today at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The three-hour extravaganza also showcases top stars like Allan K, upcoming ABS-CBN star love team Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber, Benjie and Andre Paras, Daryl Ong, Kyline Alcantara and former Rivermaya frontman, Jason Fernandez.
The star-studded night also honors 10 outstanding domestic helps in “Kasambahay, Kasambuhay Pilipinas Awards 2018,” which is an annual search for model domestic helpers conducted by Junior Chamber International Senate Philippines (JCISP) and sponsored by Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala.
The 10 most outstanding ”kasambahays” for this year will each receive an exclusively designed stained glass trophy and P75,000 in cash.
It will be recalled that TV show Gandang Gabi Vice fortuitously launched Mommy Dionisia’s singing career in April 2014 when the world boxing champ’s mother belted her still-popular Visayan-accented “Wrecking Ball” hit song number which got over five-million likes-hits in YouTube. But no follow-up song has been released thus far. Apparently, it has taken Mommy D more than four years of rehearsals to launch her the next big hit at the Palawan at the Big Dome event.
Free tickets are available at all Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala branches in Metro Manila on first come, first served, basis.
