ABS-CBN’s new streaming service iWant is currently the most in-demand app for Filipino iOS and Android users as it reached more than one million mobile app downloads on the first day of its official launch on Saturday (Nov. 17), as users scrambled to experience the all-new iWant, its original films and series, and its diverse library of content.
The new iWant app immediately soared to the number one spot on both the App Store and Google Play’s free apps, and is also the most downloaded entertainment app on Google Play.
The streaming service, which can also be accessed via web on iwant.ph, boasts an exciting line-up of free original content, including the much hyped film Glorious, teen-fantasy series Spirits Reawaken, the star-studded and feel-good anthology series Alamat ng Ano, gore-horror film Ma, lifestyle show Laureen on a Budget, and entertainment talk show I Know Right!? (IKR).
Netizens also took to social media to praise the new iWant and its diverse offerings, including ABS-CBN shows, films, restored movie classics, fastcut versions of currently airing Kapamilya teleseryes, and Asianovelas. The new iWant also offers free access to thousands of songs, One Music’s live digital concerts, and the livestreaming of Pinoy Big Brother Otso and Camp Star Hunt.
Camp Star Hunt, also an iWant original, is starting to gain a following among PBB fans. The show provides an exclusive and unedited look of the lives of Star Dreamers inside Camp Star Hunt, wherein they will go through a series of challenges to prove they are worthy of becoming a PBB housemate. The first Star Dreamer to ever come out of the Camp Star Hunt was 14-year-old Criza, who was voted by the public to become an official housemate after PBB Otso evicted its first housemate Josh on Nov. 18.
