Discovery Primea’s Flame Restaurant, in partnership with Asian Culinary Exchange 2018, will host a once-in-a-lifetime collaborative dinner featuring some of the best chefs in Asia.
On Nov. 27, Vicky Cheng of Michellin-starred Vea Restaurant and Lounge in Hong Kong, Woo Wai Leong of MasterChef Asia fame and Restaurant Ibid in Singapore, Asia’s Best Female Chef Margarita Fores and Discovery Primea’s esteemed executive chef Luis Chikiamco will team up to serve a gastronomical feast.
A formidable team-up, Chef Vicky Cheng has trained and refined his culinary techniques at highly-regarded restaurants like Auberge du Pommier Canoe in Canada and Michelin-starred Daniel in New York. He came back to his birthplace Hong Kong in 2011 where he established VEA Restaurant and Lounge. In 2014, he was named Chef of the Year at Foodie Forks and in 2016 his restaurant was awarded with a Michelin star. It was also named as one of the hottest restaurants in Asia in the Diners Club 50 Best Discovery Series.
Chef Woo Wai Leong got his big break after winning Master Chef Asia. He then cooked at pop-ups, always offering diners something different. Encouraged by the camaraderie and support he received from local chefs, he took the plunge by opening Restaurant Ibid.
Rounding up the collaboration are their Filipino counterparts, Chef Margarita Forés, who is not only best known for specializing in Italian cuisine but was also named Asia’s Best Chef in 2016. She is the owner of Lusso, Grace Park, Alta, and restaurant and catering chain Cibo; and Chef Luis Chikiamco, who has become the famed executive chef of Discovery Primea’s food and beverage outlets including Flame and Tapenade.
Organized by bestselling cookbook author and food writer Angelo Comsti, ACE is a two-day event where top foreign and local chefs will participate in a forum and do a collaborative dinner at particular bars and restaurants all over the metro.
The eight-course dinner, with wine and drinks, Flame is priced at P5,500 nett per person.
Guests can reserve or inquire via email [email protected] or call Flame at (02) 955-8888 local 71610.
