Italian chefs to train Filipinos on pizza making

Technolux will bring in experts from Italy to conduct cooking and baking demos on Oct. 18 at Mall of Kitchens along Kamagong Street in Makati City.

The experts will speak at Technolux Business Series  with the theme “Italian Feast” that will feature Pizza Master Oven and Italmill, food entrepreneurs’ partners in making authentic Italian pizzas and breads.  Admission is free.

Italmill S.P.A. is one of the biggest family-run businesses in the flour and semi-finished baking product industry in Italy. Its products include pastry, bakery and pizza preferred by restaurants, cafés and pizzerias because they guarantee the best Italian pizzas and artisan breads.  Its history dates back to the 1900s when Casare Besozzi founded the company.

Also to be highlighted in the event is Pizza Master Oven, the largest electric deck oven ranges in the world with 80 different sizes and over 1,000 combinations.  The multi-purpose machine is famous not only for baking pizzas and breads but it can also cook other dishes with the same efficiency and quality.

The speakers include Tiziano Casillo, a chef-pizzaiolo who obtained his qualification at the Iseo Institute of Hotels. He is a professional chef who trains Italmill staff in different countries.  He will share his expertise in making the best thin crust pizzas and other breads using Italmill flour, together with another talented chef, Oxana Bokta. 

Meanwhile, Mansour Rashidi, vice president of sales at Svenska BakePartner AB will speak at length about Pizza Master, its features and benefits and will demonstrate its proper use to maximize efficiency and profit. 

Also to be featured are quick demos on Frigomat Gelato, Vittore Espresso and Taylor Soft Serve machines and Italian wine appreciation.
