Johnnie Walker introduces its latest limited edition blend—the Johnnie Walker Black Label-Sherry Edition.
The Sherry Edition has the same quality of the iconic Black Label blend, but with a rich, fruity twist, as a portion of the blend has been matured in former Sherry casks, which gives it a rich, fruity, and more approachable flavor.
The expression also uses malts Blair Athol, Cardhu, and Strathmill, resulting in a taste of complex fresh fruit with orchard character, sweet vanilla, and gentle smoke.
The Johnnie Walker Black Label Sherry Cask Edition produces a smooth-sipping dark whisky with notes of sweet vanilla, smoke, raisins, and a warming finish of dark chocolate.
It is best served in a cocktail: mixed with ginger ale and garnished with a fresh orange segment. But is it is also good when served in a highball glass topped with ice, soda, and orange slices; or served over ice with a dash of bitters and an orange citrus twist.
The Black Label-Sherry Edition is priced at P1,599 per bottle, and is available at S&R and major SM stores nationwide as well as on drinkka.com.
