Animal nutrition provider Cargill has launched a digital nutrition solutions software under the Provimi brand in the Philippines.
The latest innovation will provide precise nutritional data through digital tools that will help feed mill and animal producers meet their production goals and growth of their businesses.
“Our digital solutions portfolio will enable our customers to make smarter decisions based on science and predictive tools to become more successful,” said Dr. Jun Romo, general manager of Cargill Provimi Philippines.
“I think there will be some resistance at first because of some challenges in terms of the market embracing the idea of digital nutrition,” Romo said.
Romo said that with rising input cost in animal nutrition being a challenge, not adapting with the latest kind of technology will result in even more expenses in purchasing raw materials.
“In animal nutrition, forward thinking companies are taking luck out of the equation by utilizing predictive modelling tools and science-based analysis to ensure more consistent feed quality, more predictable animal performance, and higher margins,” said Maxime Hilbert, strategic marketing and technology director of Cargill Provimi in Southeast Asia.
The technology provides services such as precise measurement of nutrients and raw materials, evaluation and selection of supplies and customization of diet formulation for livestock.
It is on its way to being available for swine and poultry businesses in the next 12 to 18 months.
