Carmona—The Manila Cockers Club Inc., the country’s cockfighting industry game changer, welcomed several new faces in its roster of derby champions, led by breeder Paolo Crisostomo who now holds a total of three MCC championship titles under his belt.
Despite stiff competition in the 60th Breeders Festival last July 7, Crisostomo won his third MCC championship title with his entry Sweet Baby, joining other winners ABB Game Farm of Adiong Borja and Black Mamba of D&G.
In the 58th MCC 7-Cock Breeders Festival finals last June 19, it was the team of Golden Wings Warriors by owners Jonathan, Rommy and Noli Monares, which claimed the solo championship title with their impressive seven-point win.
During the 59th edition, however, six breeders were awarded the championship title.
They include ARAMAC GF 888 by Einar Macapagal and Randolf Barandino; Aviator Gamefarm by Captain Theo Forte and Team V; Dimasalang 3 by Crisostomo; Dugong Thunderbee by Atty. Art De Castro; Sikat ng Araw by Jun Oliveros; and Sweet Gabby by Bobbit Ples.
The Manila Cockers Club is inviting all interested breeders and cock farms to join its upcoming festivals this August.
All derbies will follow a 3-4 format, requiring a minimal fee of ₱8,888 per entry.
The contest is open to all cocks and bull stags with a weight limit of 1.800 to 2.400 kilograms.
MCC does not require any minimum bet nor membership fee to its participating breeders.
A generous purse of P2.620 million (distributed) will be awarded to the winners.
MCC derbies are aired live via GameTime TV, Cignal Ch. 109 with online livestreaming on manilacockers.com.
