Karate is a demanding sport which requires dedication, sacrifice, and discipline. It also demands the best nutrition which is why two-time karate world champion and six-time Philippine National Games gold medalist James delos Santos relies on nourishment that’s good for his body.
Delos Santos makes it a point to train and prepare. He prepares by working out with weights and doing sprints and plyometric activities. One of the things he relies on to give him a boost of energy during training and competition is Kaffea coffee.
“It gives me that natural energy that I need for my rigid workouts. It is known to have several health properties,” said Delos Santos.
He benefits from Kaffea’s healthy ingredients like collagen which strengthens the muscles, tendons, and joints. It also tightens the skin which makes him look well-nourished and glowing.
The coffee blend also helps keep Delos Santos slim and fit. It promotes weight management because of the combination of glutathione (which is a liver cleansing agent) and L-Carnitine. Kaffea gives energy and promotes focus because of the combined power of Co-Q10 and grape seed extract.
Health benefits, aside, Delos Santos said that he simply loves Kaffea’s taste, which highlights the flavor of coconut sugar mixed with coconut cream.
“I remember when boxes of Kaffea arrived in my dorm. I didn’t hesitate to open one right away. Honestly, I loved it at first taste. I’ve been drinking it regularly. I love the taste, especially with the hint of coconut,” he related.
Delicious Kaffea coffee gives Delos Santos that needed the boost for workout or competition.
“Kaffea wakes me up and gives me the energy to keep me active during training and competition. I love the taste and aroma of the coconut sugar. I would recommend it to people who have health problems since most cheap instant coffees have unhealthy ingredients. Kaffea is a very healthy alternative,” shared the young athlete.
The 28-year-old karateka discovered his love for the sport back in March 2003. When he was in Grade 6, he became a victim of bullying. His uncle suggested that he try combat sports and he hasn’t looked back since.
Delos Santos won a world title when he represented the Philippines at the 2016 ISKF World Shotocup held in Cape Town, South Africa. He also won gold in the 2012 edition of the ISKF World Shotocup. He is currently focusing on the 2020 Olympics where karate will be a medal sport.
“Currently I’m preparing for the Asian Games this coming August. But before that, I’ll be looking forward to the Asian Karate Championships this July. There will also be Karate 1 Series A, which are qualifying tournaments for the Olympics,” he shared.
