More flights between Hong Kong and top travel destinations

Cathay Pacific announced new flights to select destinations starting this month. Travelers can enjoy more options and greater flexibility when flying between European and Asian cities.

Due to the popularity of Cathay Pacific’s seasonal operation to Barcelona during the summer peak, the airline has decided to make it a year-round service. From three weekly flights from Hong Kong starting April 15, 2018, it will increase to four-times weekly on July 1, 2018.

The new flights, which will be operated by the technologically-advanced Airbus A350-900, will complement Cathay Pacific’s existing four-times weekly service to Madrid, which also increases to five times a week beginning last Sunday. This makes the airline the provider of more non-stop flights to Spain from Asia than any other carrier.

Starting March 25 next year, flights between Hong Kong and Tel Aviv will be increased to six times a week.

Another route will be getting more frequent flights starting March 25, 2018. The Airbus A350-900-operated route between Hong Kong and Tel Aviv will be increased to six times a week, increasing to daily throughout November.

Customers travelling to and from Hong Kong and Barcelona and Tel Aviv can be assured of a premium experience on-board the Airbus A350. The fuel-efficient aircraft is equipped with the airline’s latest cabin products, an enhanced inflight entertainment system and Wi-Fi connectivity in Business, Premium Economy and Economy classes.

Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific’s regional carrier Cathay Dragon will be increasing the frequency of its services between Hong Kong and Fukuoka from Dec. 18. The airline will initially operate an additional weekly flight to Japan’s fifth largest city, bringing the total number of flights per week to eight, increasing to 11 flights per week between Jan. 14 and March 24, 2018.

Cathay Pacific’s regional carrier Cathay Dragon will be increasing the frequency of its services between Hong Kong and Fukuoka starting on Dec. 18, 2017.

According to Cathay Pacific Director Commercial and Cargo Ronald Lam, the additional frequencies are based on the great demand and positive customer feedback on the current servicing of these routes.

He shares, “Growing our reach to destinations not otherwise served from Hong Kong enables us to capture new sources of revenue and solidifies the city’s status as Asia’s largest international hub. This will provide even greater convenience and gives our customers another reason for choosing Cathay Pacific.”
