LYCEUM got off to a good start on two fronts recently in the opening games of the 207 Milcu Sports-Got Skills Elite Basketball Showcase at the Lyceum gym in Intramuros.
Carl Lumbao led with 10 points as the Lyceum Pirates won over the University of Perpetual Help Altas, 78-72, in the 25-under category.
The Junior Pirates, led by Miguel Bairan with 13 points, demolished School of St. Anthony, 67-37, in the 18-years old and under action.
Andrei Romero shot six points in leading College San Benildo to a 66-56 triumph over the Perpetual Help Junior Altas in the 19-under division.
The San Sebastian Staglets, behind CJ Austria with 10 points, won over University of Santo Tomas, 50-49, in the 17-under hostilities.
In other games at the Far Eastern University gym in Morayta, Dharelle Caranguian made 19 points as de Ocampo Memorial College defeated National University, 76-71, in another 25-under encounter.
Terrence Fortea knocked in 20 points in NU’s 69-50 smashing of CKSC, also in the 25-under clashes, while University of Baguio downed FEU, 62-40.
University of Baguio repulsed Letran, 71-67.
JR Urmeneta tallied eight points for Chiang Kai Shek College as they tripped Trinity University of Asia, 60-45, also in the 17-under class.
Gerry Abadiano shot 17 points as National University overpowered Team Delta, 69-46, in the 19-under side.
