Potable water to flow for 80k Echague residents by Q1 2018

Tubig Pilipinas, a subsidiary of Pure Energy Holdings Corp., is set to complete the first phase of the Echague Water Supply, Sewage, and Septic Utility Project in the first quarter of 2018.

Once operational, about 80,000 residents of the Municipality of Echague, Isabela will no longer fetch water from deep wells and common faucets. Residents of Isabela will soon enjoy the convenience of flowing potable water in their homes.

“This project hopes to bring convenience to the residents of Echague. Hopefully, with water flowing into their homes, we are able to raise the quality of living in this province,” said Ryan T. Yapkianwee, president of Tubig Pilipinas.

The project involves constructing and operating a Level III water supply distribution system for bulk water production and to supply potable water. The project also includes a management and maintenance service for a period of 25 years.

A concession granting Tubig Pilipinas the authority to construct, operate, manage, and maintain a water, sewage, and septic utility system in Echague was granted by way of Municipal Resolution in Dec. 5, 2016.

On the same day, the Sangguniang Bayan also authorized the Mayor of Echague to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with Tubig Pilipinas by virtue of Municipal Resolution number 2016-17.

Construction of the water system is set to commence by the fourth quarter of 2017.

Tubig Pilipinas is also present in four other locations namely— Isabela, Pangasinan, Cavite, Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental.

The company is engaged in bulk water, water treatment, and water concession businesses.
