Technical problems marred for the nth time the operations of Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Wednesday morning.
The first glitch occured 7:12 am at the southbound lane of Santolan station in Pasig City.
After one minute, another MRT train encountered a problem at 7:13 am along Shaw Boulevard station in Mandaluyong City.
Two passengers were injured as the train's automatic signalling system suddenly stopped the train through its brake.
A 30-year-old woman got bruises on her right arm while another 68-year-old passenger sustained a sprain.
Yesterday at 5:23 am, as rains due to Tropical Depression Maring were pouring, the MRT-3's service stopped at the southbound lane of Shaw Boulevard due to trouble with a wiper.
Then after two hours, at 7:23 am, another glitch happened at Ayala Avenue in Makati City.
Last Monday, the MRT's trains failed to function three times.
In all of the total of seven instances of trouble at the MRT in the first three days of the week, passengers were made to get off the trains and find other modes of transportation.
