THE National Police has found Ozamis City Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog and his brother Reynaldo Jr., both children of slain Ozamis City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, negative for illegal drug use, an official said Tuesday.
Supt. Ramos Bergonio, the PNP’s Crime Laboratory operations officer, said Nova and Reynaldo Jr., who underwent a random drug test shortly after their arrest following the killing of their father last month, were negative for Shabu and marijuana use.
“At the time when the urine samples were collected from the vice mayor and Reynaldo Jr., they were found negative for methampethamine or Shabu and marijuana use,” said Crime Laboratory forensic chemist Yela Apostol.
The authorities collected urine samples from Nova and Reynaldo Parojinog Jr. to determine if they were using drugs upon their arrival in Camp Crame a day after their father’s death.
But the negative findings will not affect the case filed against the Parojinog siblings. Francisco Tuyay and John Paolo Bencito
