Local authorities took DNA samples of the bodies before they were laid to rest.

This is for identification purposes should the victims’ families and relatives will look for the remains once fighting in Marawi City has ended.

The number of civilians killed in clashes stands at forty five (45).

The battles have also claimed the lives of 105 government troops while 428 Maute terrorists have died.
