THE PNP Responders hope to make the most out of their twice-to-beat advantage over the DoJ Justice Boosters at the start of the UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off semifinals on Sunday.
But NCRPO Chief PDir. Oscar Albayade said it will take a huge effort on their part to beat the Justice Boosters.
“Kailangan practice siguro nang maayos. Practice kami the whole week and of course, rest kami the day before. So, kailangan matalo namin ang DoJ,” said Albayade.
The Responders are determined to put an end to the DoJ’s campaign in the league using the tactics that made them win before.
Assistant Coach SPO2 Alfred Suarez said: “Mas mabilis ‘yung DOJ so magpe-prepare kami na mas dapat na mabilis kami sa kanila. At the same time, mag-e-ensayo kami as a team para mas madali ang pasahan namin, madali kami maka-convert.”
On the other hand, the DOJ Justice Boosters are positive in their journey towards the final round.
DoJ Head Coach John Agbayani Jr. expressed, “[Nu’ng] makapasok kami ng semis, sobrang saya ng team. So siguro mas ma-inspired sila na mag-ensayo. Hopefully, makalusot kami ng semis tapos championship. Siguro, gagawa kami ng mga bagong play.”
If the Boosters win, they will face the Responders in a do-or-die match.
But if the Responders win, the DOJ exits the league, with the PNP advancing to the final round, waiting for the winner of the AFP-Judiciary clash.
