Three suspected members of the Maute group have been subjected to inquest proceedings at Camp Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro City.
Those charged with rebellion include the sister of Maute brothers Omar and Abdullah, her companion Miks Jadid Romato and a third suspect.
The three persons were nabbed by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) while on board M/V St. Therese of Child Jesus by 2Go Travel last Sunday.
The vessel was from CDO and was bound for Manila.
PCG intercepted the suspects during the boat’s stopover in Iloilo.
They were brought back to CDO.
The suspects said they are relatives of the Maute brothers who are waging battles with the military in Marawi City.
During an inquest proceeding, a Department of Justice prosecutor or fiscal hears the evidence filed by complainants, such as law enforcers, against the accused.
