Sandiganbayan cancels Bong Revilla’s pre-trial for graft case

The pre-trial for the graft case against Former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. at the Sandiganbayan has been cancelled on Thursday.

The proceeding has been reset by the anti-graft court’s First Division to August 10, 2017 at 8 am.

This comes, after the counsels of his co-accused asked for more time.

They said the markings of exhibits have not been completed.

The case stems from charges that the former lawmaker allegedly pocketed P 224.5 million in kickbacks after he allegedly diverted his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to the bogus non-government organizations of businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.

Revilla is detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center.

His plunder trial is on June 22, 2017.
