Over 3k applicants flock to GenTri Job Fair

GENERAL TRIAS CITY—Thousands signed up for the Job Fair recently held at Robinson’s Place GenTri for local and overseas employment presented by the office of Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer and the local Public Employment Service Office under Ariel Mugol.

More than 50 local and foreign companies participated in the Job Fair, which recorded 3,227 walk-in applicants, of which 2,921 are qualified and 204 were hired on the spot for local employment.

For overseas jobs, 304 applicants registered and 101 were qualified, with three applicants hired immediately.

Government agencies that joined the fair included the Social Security System, Pag-ibig, National Statistics Office, PhilHealth, and the local registrar that issued residence certificates or “cedula” to facilitate the applicants’ job search requirements.

The three-day fair also featured training programs conducted by the Jobstart NCST 3rd Floor, Servant Pinoy Center, Robinson’s Place GenTri in Barangay Tejero.

The Job Fair is an annual project of Mayor Ferrer and the PESO to provide immediate employment for residents with no work here.
