The Sandiganbayan has ordered the arrest of Former Maguindanao Governor Sajid Islam Ampatuan.
Ampatuan is facing charges of falsification of public documents, malversation of public funds and graft.
The cases stem from alleged school building projects worth P 72-million which the Ombudsman found to be fictitious.
Six other co-accused of Ampatuan have also been ordered arrested by the anti-graft court.
Sandiganbayan 6th Division Justice Rodolfo Ponferrada set a P 3.5 million bail bond for the former governor.
The Ombudsman previously charged that Ampatuan and his alleged cohorts claimed that they had used the fund to buy construction materials for school projects.
The respondents claimed to have purchased building materials from four suppliers in 2009.
The Ombudsman, however, discovered that the suppliers were actually non-existent.
