THE first out-of-town leg of the 2017 Phoenix National Slalom Series happens on Sunday at Robinsons Starmills in Pampanga.
Powered by Phoenix Premium 98 and Phoenix Accelerate fully synthetic oil, the slalom event begins with the 8 a.m. registration. A free slalom clinic is scheduled from 9 to 10 a.m.
Open practice runs are set from 8 to 10 a.m., while official practice sessions begin at 11 a.m. with each participant given only one official practice run regardless of how many cars the driver is entered.
Each participant will receive 4 liters (1 gallon) of Phoenix Accelerate fully synthetic oil.
Also slated is the Slalom Too class, wherein Clubman and experienced drivers can join. This class will not have a 360-degree turn and professional drivers are not allowed.
Overall and class champions must use the specified Federal Tyres for at least nine or 75% of the series and must possess the Automobile Association of the Philippines Clubman license. All drivers will be charged an additional fee of P300 per leg for the AAP Clubman License.
The national slalom events are affiliated with the AAP and FIA and is the longest-running motorsport discipline in the country.

The third leg will be on May 7 at the NFA Compound Cabanatuan City.
