Senator Francis Pangilinan refutes the opinion of Senate President Koko Pimentel that legislative work in the Senate has been hampered by politics.
Pangilinan says, 20 out of 29 measures pending in the chamber have been sponsored by members of the Liberal Party (LP).
The senator is reacting to the comment of Pimentel, who had said the removal of LP senators from key posts such as chairmanships of major committees, is meant to minimize politics in the Senate.
“Ginawa namin ito to lessen politics. Huwag na buhayin ulit ang politics by putting a reason na political propaganda (We did this to lessen politics. Do not revive politics once more putting a reason that it is all about political propaganda),” the Senate President had said.
