POLICE and health clearances in Quezon City can soon be secured online.
The City Council has approved two resolutions for the adoption of an online application and documents verification system in the issuance of police and health clearance, District 1 Councilor Alexis Herrera said.
The move is designed to simplify the process of securing police and health clearances from the Quezon City Police District and the city health department, respectively.
It also highlights the city government’s continuing effort to harnessing new technologies and systems to provide convenience to those who will be availing of city services.
As provided under both resolutions principally authored by Herrera, the police department and health department are coordinating closely with the city’s Information Technology Development Office for requirements needed to develop these systems.
“Our principle here is to reduce the processing time,” Herrera said.
Normally, it takes about a day to secure a police clearance, while one has to wait for two days before a health clearance is issued.
