For them, the laughter never stops.
The longest-running and well-loved gag show in the country – GMA Network’s Bubble Gang – continues to offer non-stop entertainment to Filipino viewers as they celebrate their 21st anniversary.
The show remains as Filipinos’ favorite comedy program for their unique, amusing and extraordinary parodies, sketches and gags about television commercials, politicians and current events.
Bubble Gang’s Creative Director Michael V. shares that they are just giving back to their viewers, whom they consider as their motivation and inspiration, the feat they have achieved through the years that made the program a cut above the rest.
“Palagi kong sinasabi sa mga kasamahan ko dito na binabalik ko lang yung success ng show – yung glory and staying power naming – sa mga manunuod. Kasi for me, maganda yung relationship ng Bubble Gang sa audience. We get inspiration from them e. Kumbaga kung wala yung society, hindi kami makakagawa ng parody, sketches, and jokes na about sa society. And we’re glad na-a-appreciate naman ng mga nakakapanood yun,” he said.
In line with their anniversary celebration, Bubble Gang pays tribute to 21 comedic gems of Philippine cinema and television by performing some of their famous sketches and scenes dubbed as “21 GANG Salute’’ in a two-part special, the first part aired last week. Tonight, the show airs the concluding part with Michael V., together with Andrea Torres, Antonio Aquitania, Arra San Agustin, Arny Ross, Betong Sumaya, Boy 2 Quizon, Chariz Solomon, Denise Barbacena, Diego Llorico, Jackie Rice, Jak Roberto, James Macasero, Jan Manual, Juancho Trivino, Kim Domingo, Mikael Daez, Myka Flores, Paolo Contis, RJ Padilla, Rodfil Obeso, Sef Cadayona and Valeen Montenegro in their one-of-a-kind and surprising performances.

Kapuso viewers followed the heart-wrenching drama about a teenager who took on the role of a mother to five street children while in search for her father’s love.
Inah de Belen who was given the lead role, Maricel or Mama Cel, for her first drama project in GMA Network, said that portraying her character made her realize that acting is what she really wants to do and pursue.
“Nung una, nakaka-overwhelm siya pero kapag sanay ka na, okay na. You think you have accomplished everything already but after doing the show, I felt like I’ve accomplished a lot and I am really proud of myself because I didn’t expect na ‘yun ‘yung magiging potential ko. Actually, because of this show, na-realize ko na ito talaga yung gusto kong gawin.”
Jake Vargas, on the other hand, said that he has a lot of unforgettable scenes while doing the soap and he definitely enjoyed playing the role of Julio.
“Pinaka-memorable sa akin talaga ay yung role ko as Julio kasi first time ko na magkaroon ng character na maangas at matapang. Gusto ko rin talaga ‘yung mga ganitong klaseng role at nag-enjoy talaga ako doing our fight scenes.”
Meanwhile, Jeric Gonzales who plays Zach said he will miss working with his co-stars in the show. And even though they will not be seeing each other on a regular basis, the connection between them will always remain intact.
“Sobrang close namin on and off cam. Ang turing namin sa isa’t isa ay pamilya. Kaming tatlo nina Jake at Inah, very close kami. Palaging masaya sa set kaya mami-miss ko talaga sila.”
As the series comes to an end, who will Maricel choose between Julio and Zach? Will they find out who the “Big Boss” is?
