Laguna model, Sagada cop win Misters of Filipinas 2016

Miguel Mari Guia of San Pablo, Laguna and Christopher Comicho Dulagan of Sagada, Mountain Province were named Mister International Philippines 2016 and Man of the World Philippines 2016, respectively, during the finals of Misters of Filipinas 2016 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila recently.

The 27-year-old, 5-foot-11, Guia, an aspiring real estate broker from a family of models, earned the right to represent the country at the Mister International 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand on Dec. 19. Guia won the Face of Misters and Mister One Canvas

Dulagan, a 23-year-old, 5-foot-10 Sagada native and Police Inspector, widely predicted to win one of the titles at stake, will compete at the Man of the World 2016 international pageant, which will be held in the country for the first time next year. PINSP Dulagan takes pride in being of service to his fellow men in his capacity as officer in charge of the Plaza Miranda PCP-MPD police best practice “feeding program,” which is related to his personal advocacy to help the poor street children, LGBT group and old people.

Other winners were Albay’s Issa Janda, a 21-year-old 6-foot-1 criminology student. He won the title Man of the Year Philippines 2016 succeeding Karan Singhdole, who won the Man of the Year 2016 international title. Janda also won the best in formal wear special award. He quit his title as Mister United Continents Philippines 2016.

CJ Querol of Pandi, Bulacan, popularly known in social media as the good-looking “gasoline boy” won Manhunt International Philippines 2016 succeeding Don McGyver Cochico. Alberto Rodulfo “AR” De la Serna, who finished first runner up last year, won the Mister Supranational Philippines 2016 title and will  compete at the inaugural Mister Supranational pageant in Poland.

Vincent Jarina from Bacolod, Negros Occidental won the Mister Asian Philippines 2016. 

A business management student and member of the basketball team of Trinity University of Asia won the Media’s Choice award. He will be at the Mister Asia pageant.

The Mister Congeniality award went to Jonathan Maniquis of San Jose Del Monte; Mister Talent, Best in Ethnic Wear and Mister Online Popularity special awards went to John Glenn Seridon of Cagayan Valley; and Mister Photogenic was Roberto Lim Jr. of Romblon.
