A magnitude 4.5 earthquake jolts Catbalogan, Samar on Friday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reports, the tremor is tectonic in origin and it has a depth of 36 kilometers.

The quake occurred 48 kilometers east of Catbalogan.
No damage has been reported so far.
