Muntinlupa City has been recognized for quality management and an exemplary sanitation program.
BRS Rim of the World Operations conferred the second ISO 9001:2008 on Quality Management to the city government, the Ospital ng Muntinlupa, and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa on September 19 at Muntinlupa City Hall in Putatan.
ISO 9001:2008, often used by private companies as a benchmark of organizational operation excellence, is the world’s leading quality management standard that describes the procedures an organization follows to achive its objectives.
The local government met the requirements for the certification and passed the surveillance audit on its processes and activities conducted by BRS in July.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi encouraged government employees to continue providing excellent services for the people.
Fresnedi said he aims to raise the standard for public service in Muntinlupa a notch higher.
In relation to this, Barangay Poblacion was commended by the DOH-NCR for its programs on sanitation and environmental protection.
The department adjudged the local barangay as winner in the 8th Regional Search for Barangay with Best Sanitation Practices. The agency recognized the unrelenting efforts to showcase best practices in sanitation, specifically in water supply, sanitary toilet facilities and other local initiatives.
Brgy. Poblacion received a P150,000 cash incentive from DOH-NCR to fund future development programs.
